The Well-Known Secret

Hidden Potentials

God blessed us with powers, competence, and caliber, which are unrealized. We have some hidden dreams and fantasies, which we avoid to recognize. Deep within every human being. Everyone must decide to chase their set goal, and must be committed and dedicated to achieve it until the end, even when the going gets tougher, and confront the situations with guts, confidence, and persistent action.
Commitment is a promise to us, to keep on putting honest efforts to perform a particular activity, never to give up and back-down in any circumstance. It is a pledge to complete an assignment with unaffected engagement and involvement.
Dedication is wholehearted devotion and unmoved contribution for the accomplishment of any task.
Dedication and commitment are born out of a meaningful enthusiasm and passion for achievement, and no one can buy it from others, by simply offering extrinsic rewards. Commitment comes from within. It is a process beyond the purchase power of an individual. Successful people constantly demonstrate persistence and devotion as an essential element of their tough actions and endeavour. Money cannot pay for honesty and integrity in the context of building trust and maintaining credibility.

A Formula for success

Tony Robbins the legendary motivational trainer offers us a formula to reach success. Have you ever had an area of your life you wanted to change, and you were committed to making that change, but you still didn’t do it? Why does this happen? Is it because you don’t know how? Are there circumstances that prevent you from making that change? While we can come up with a variety of reasons why we don’t follow through on what we say we want to do, inevitably it boils down to our mindset. Eighty percent of success in anything is psychology, and only 20 percent is mechanics. Most people know enough to get the job done, but they’re not doing it because their psychology is not in sync with their goals. If you want to change your life in any area, there are five keys to succeeding at the highest level that will not only create the change you want to make, but also make that change sustainable and lasting.

1. Raise Your Standards

While this may sound like a tired old thought process, none of us who are honest can deny the truth that changes do not last long term until they become a part of our identity, until we literally begin to see them as the standard we live by. Raising your standards truly means turning your shoulds into musts. Everyone has a list of shoulds: ‘I should spend more time with my kids.’ ‘I should spend more time with a business plan.’ ‘I should lose some weight.’ I should, I should, I should. People don’t actually change. They just end up what I call, “shoulding” all over themselves. Convert those “shoulds” into “musts” and your entire life changes.

2. Change Your Limiting Beliefs

Even when the goal is crystal clear, and it’s truly a must for you to achieve, is that enough to succeed? Often it can be. But if you fi nd yourself either failing to act or pulling back, or even sabotaging yourself, there’s one reason: You have Inner Conflicts. Those can show up in fears and doubts, or they can show up as limiting beliefs in the form of fear or doubts. You may have a burning desire to experience absolute financial abundance, to be wealthy. But you may also have a conflicting belief that says: ‘I don’t want anyone to judge me.’ These two goals are in complete conflict. Or you have a desire to achieve a goal but simultaneously believe that you’re not strong enough, smart enough, or educated enough to make it happen. Unless you uncover these inner conflicts, they will cause you to fail.

3. Model Strategies That Work

Remember, success leaves clues. There’s a Pathway to Power; a way to achieve what you want in a shorter period of time. And the way to find it is to model someone who’s already achieving what you want. If someone is successful at anything, whether they have a great relationship, are extraordinarily successful in business, or they have the body and energy that you desire, they’re not lucky. They’ve got a set of strategies that they apply and those strategies work. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. You don’t need to reinvent a way to succeed. Throughout my life, I’ve always believed it’s been best to learn from others. That’s how you compress decades into days.

4. Intensify Your Emotions

It’s inevitable that life will hit us with something that feels like a crushing blow, whether an illness, a business setback, or a problem within your family. But this is a critical moment that, if faced directly, will give you the muscle of life—psychological strength—if we can simply look at it as a gift from God and find a way to use it.

Lance Armstrong’s a great example. When he faced cancer, what did he do? He didn’t give up. He intensified the emotions that he had to find a way to succeed more than he ever had in his entire sports career, even though he thought he had maximized his capabilities. And what happened? After conquering cancer, facing another biker was nothing. He won seven Tour de France events in a row. Remember, he had never won any Tour de France before that. He turned something that could have been the most traumatic moment of his life into a launching pad for some of his greatest victories. He chose to intensify his emotions and fi nd a way to conquer, not be defeated by what life offered him. These are the moments that determine our destiny.

5. Give Much More Than You Expect to Receive

Ultimately what shapes the meaning of our lives is not what we get, but what we give. If you can make it your goal to each day fi nd a way to add more value to people’s lives than anyone else, then you’ll never have to worry about success. But if you’re constantly just trying to make a deal, trying to make a trade—‘I’ll give you this if you give me that,’ you’ll find yourself struggling to prosper. Remember, the secret to living is giving. We’re not made to be selfish. We can succeed and achieve, but what we want deep in our souls is to feel like life matters, that we’re givers, not takers. If each day you can sincerely feel like you’ve given something of value to those around you, I can promise you you’ll experience the ultimate victory of life; a life of meaning and joy.

Leading Examples of Dedicated Successful Individuals

“You get nowhere without hard work. Dedication and hard work is the most important for me. Life is a jigsaw puzzle and everyday there is a new piece to put in there. To have success you must have rules and discipline. If you have no commitment or dedication, no matter how much talent you have, you won’t be able to win.” – These the words of Cristiano Ronaldo, who after winning the Ballon D’Or- which is the football equivalent of the Oscars (there is no higher honour)
Cristiano Ronaldo’s pursuit of perfection is what makes him a world-class footballer, according to his former Portugal teammate Deco.
Former Barcelona playmaker Deco played alongside Real Madrid’s Ronaldo, 30, at international level for the Seleccao.
Deco was taken aback by Ronaldo’s work ethic in training, something which has helped him win numerous trophies including three separate Ballon d’Or awards.”The guy isn’t well in the head, I’ve never seen anyone train like it, it’s not easy to be like that,” Deco told ESPN.

Another example is Christian Bale who gained 109lbs for “Batman Begins” after losing 63lbs for “The Machinist”. Bale went from 121lbs to 230lbs in only 6 months which ended up being MORE than director Christopher Nolan desired. So by the time filming began, Christian Bale had dropped to 190lbs.And of course Lance Armstrong story which is in the above paragraph. “Obsessed is the word lazy people use to describe the dedicated”  Quote said by  Russel Warren

Dedication in Various Beliefs

In the Holy Bible {For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do}. Hebrew 6:10
Also in the Noble Quran {Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds.} Surah Alkahf Verse 30
And in the Hadith narrated by Prophet Muhammad PBUH “Allah will be pleased with those who try to do their work in a perfect way “ Indeed Dedication to one’s Goal is a very important factor in achieving it whether it’s a religious one as pleasing God or a personal goal.

How to stay Dedicated to your goals

Commitment is essential to being a winner and achieving our loftiest goals. Being dedicated and committed is part of growing and transcending to the next level. Each of us comes from a diverse and varied background, and are dedicated to different values and involve in countless missions.
Regardless of our mission and direction in life, there are three keys to staying committed to your goals. These are: sacrifice, purpose, and determination.

Sacrifice

A primary key to knowing we are committed is when we are willing to make sacrifice in order to achieve our goals.  Consider the young athlete willing to practice and train countless hours everyday, or anyone in the armed forces who literally sacrifice their life for the greater good.  Commitment through sacrifice also relates to the concept of loyalty.  Do we stand by our commitment even though it will cause interruptions in other areas of life? If we are willing to give-up the convenient and comfortable options to take a more challenging path, there is a good chance we are committed to this mission.

Purpose

To have commitment we must find meaning and purpose behind the mission we are pursuing. Purpose is similar to passion, and the development of a passion that spurs us toward our mission is half the battle of achieving goals.  Passion is what drives us forward. It’s what gets us out of bed each day and what keeps us awake with excitement at night. Without an inner sense of purpose and motivation, it becomes much more difficult to sustain commitment. Look deep inside yourself and begin examining what ignites your passion for life right now. Explore this area as an area of commitment.

Determination

Determination and commitment go hand in hand.  There will be inevitable set-backs along the way to achieving success, and without the determination to overcome these road-blocks, commitment begins to waver.  We must face obstacles with resiliency and fortitude.  This involves learning to problem solve and take the necessary steps to work past barriers.  Instead of viewing change and unexpected outcomes as problems we can begin to view them as challenges. We can start to feel invigorated and energized by the chance to rise to the occasion. Being determined means we accept and perceive these challenges as a part of the journey toward the larger accomplishment we are committed to.
